SynkEngine Get the app

The founder · Curepipe, Mauritius

Kavish Moosoohur, founder of SynkEngine.

I build SynkEngine, the app that turns the phones you already have into one big sound system: the same song on every phone in the room at the same instant, over your own Wi-Fi. Made in Mauritius, by one person working with Claude, and open to talks.

The story, short

When friends meet, everyone has a phone and nobody has a speaker. Press play on several phones and you get an echo, because Wi-Fi gives devices a network but no shared clock. I spent two years on that one problem: give every phone in the room one clock, and keep them on it while the music plays. SynkEngine is the result: no servers, no accounts, nothing about you or your music leaves the room. Then the features the clock makes possible followed: guests queuing from their own phones, movies and anime in sync, four phones as one wider screen, a karaoke mode where your phone is the mic, and now Bluetooth earbuds, headphones and speakers on the same beat.

The Android app is written in Java and the Windows app in Go, and they are tested against each other. I build them with Claude, Anthropic's AI: a team of agents with names, Kuma on Android, Lulu on Windows, Pip who keeps the dates and the letters between them, and Yuki, who makes the films, the posters, the posts and this page, with reviews, mutation tests and soak tests on every release. The geek corner has the engineering stories, numbers included.

What I'm working on now

• Bluetooth, in syncEarbuds, headphones and speakers timed per device, remembered per device. The explainer →
• The launchThe alpha opens on 11/11 at 11:11 and the official launch is 12/12 at 12:12 (Mauritius, GMT+4). Google Play closed testing is live; the Microsoft Store listing is in preparation.
• iPhoneThe third app, so a party mixes Android, Windows and iPhone.
• Mimi & CocoThe mascots, a dog and a cat, in 3D films: the karaoke room, the silent party, the beach at sunset.

Open to talks

I'm happy to talk about real-time sync on ordinary phones, building an app alone with AI agents, or launching from Mauritius: a conference or a meetup, an interview or a podcast, a class at a university, a partnership with a venue, a festival or an event series, or a demo in person with a few phones.
