Free, in your browser. Allow the microphone, and seven seconds later it draws the room.
A SynkEngine instrument. Nothing to install: open synkengine.com/prismdrive in a browser, on any device with a microphone — phone, tablet, laptop, a TV with a browser — in the room where the music is playing. Allow the microphone; seven seconds later it has the room, and it draws the music live.
The explainer: the browser bar, the microphone, the seven seconds, then the first kick. The pictures are the real page.
Eleven pictures for the party — tube corridors, true kaleidoscopes, a hall of mirrors, three vortexes (Vortex, Maelstrom, Warp Drive), open fields. Every kick pushes the picture, a breakdown stills it, the drop lunges; the ring in the middle is the music's own waveform, live. Swipe for the next picture, shake the phone to shuffle.

Four quiet worlds — Hearth (a wood fire), The Falls (a waterfall, rain on the pool), Snowfall (a winter night), 432 Hz (a drone and a mandala on the breath). Each makes its own sound, so they work in a silent room.

Its own listening engine, on your device: a 2048-point FFT in four bands, each read against the room's own quiet and its own recent normal, so a quiet room and a loud one both draw well; beats from spectral flux; the tempo from the gaps between beats; a transient detector that answers any clear sound — a clap, a kick, a word.
No account, no ads, no cookies, nothing leaves your device. The sound is read on the phone and thrown away — never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. The page makes zero network calls; anyone can check with ?selftest=1 on the day.
Field test this weekend with friends; free for everyone from Monday 9 November, 17:00 (Mauritius), at synkengine.com/prismdrive.
No. Open synkengine.com/prismdrive in a browser on any device with a microphone: a phone, a tablet, a laptop, a TV with a browser. “Add to Home Screen” works if you want it as an icon.
It reads the sound on your device, draws it, and throws it away. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent anywhere, and the page makes no network call; you can check it yourself with ?selftest=1.
Eleven pictures for the party (tube corridors, kaleidoscopes, a hall of mirrors, three vortexes, open fields) and four quiet worlds for after (Hearth, The Falls, Snowfall, 432 Hz). Swipe for the next picture, shake the phone to shuffle.
No. Prism Drive draws on the device it runs on, from the sound in the room. Playing one song on every phone in sync is SynkEngine's job, the app.
One to three metres from the speaker, not on the bass bin. Dark room, volume up.
The picture pulses with the beat; “Reduce flashing” is in the settings, and the four quiet worlds hardly pulse at all.
Free, from Monday 9 November 2026 at 17:00 (Mauritius, GMT+4), at synkengine.com/prismdrive. A field test with friends runs this weekend.
